Time
Saturday Sept. 19th: Check-in 9:15-9:45 A.M.; play starts by 10:00 A.M. If you do not show up or call during check-in time, you may be removed from the tournament, and your entry fee will not be refunded.
Sunday Sept. 20th: rounds 9-14, starting at 9:15 A.M.
WOW and Collins tournaments
The WOW tournament is sanctioned by WGPO; the Collins tournament is co-sanctioned by CoCo and WGPO. Additional information about the Collins tournament can be found on the tournament webpage on CoCo's website. Due to space limitations, this tournament is limited to a total of 40 players (WOW and Collins combined).
Format
14 rounds — pairing system TBD. The double challenge rule will be used for the WOW tournament. The 5-point rule will be used for the Collins tournament.
Divisions
Divisions to be determined later. The WOW24 lexicon will be used for the WOW tournament. The CSW24 lexicon will be used for the Collins tournament.
Entry Fee
WOW: $130 CDN/$95 USD. Registration deadline is Sept. 12, 2026. No refunds once play begins. We accept cash and cheques (please make cheques payable to Chris Williams). Canadian players can also pay by Interac e-transfer; please send the transfer to Chris Williams at the email address above. American players can pay in US dollars through Zelle; please send the payment to Chris Williams at the email address above. For other payment options in US dollars, please contact Chris Williams.

Collins: $110 USD ($95 USD for CoCo Premium members). Please pay through the CoCo Store. If you have not previously played in a Collins tournament, CoCo offers a newcomer discount.

Lunch on both days is included with your entry fee. Any refunds after the registration deadline with have $10 CDN/$8 USD withheld to cover food costs.

Early Bird Draw
Entries (with payment) received by July 31 will be entered into a draw. The winner will receive a refund of their entry fee ($130 CDN).
Rules
The WOW tournament is governed by the rules published in the December 1, 2016 edition of NASPA's Tournament Rules. The Collins tournament is governed by Version 5.1 of WESPA's Game Rules
Equipment
Please bring Deluxe Scrabble® Boards, clocks, and tournament tiles if you have them.
WGPO Membership
All players (for both WOW and Collins tournaments) must be current members of the Word Game Players Organization (including first-time participants). Membership is free. You can sign up online by clicking the link here.

Parking

Parking at the Richmond Nature Park is free.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided both Saturday and Sunday. There is a kitchen with a fridge and microwave on-site if you want to bring food for yourself. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the park.
